The Senior Doberman Project
duchess
Most people seem to want to adopt a young dog, but adopting a senior dog can have many, many advantages!

Please visit the Senior Doberman Project to learn more about these lovely oldsters needing home.

Special Needs Dobermans
Please take some time to visit Special Needs Dobermans! This organization works very hard to help Dobermans in need of health care.
The Special Needs Doberman website states:

We are an organization of people with a common goal of helping senior and special needs Dobermans. That need may be financial or it may be only information and/or moral support for the owner of a Doberman with a serious illness or injury. We will also aid in rehoming and fostering senior Dobermans. These Dobermans may be shelter rescues or they may already be much loved companions with a special need. Financial aid may be through donations or through avenues such as online auctions. Every precaution will be taken to assure that the need is real.

Irresponsible breeders are marketing them as "white" Dobes, but they are actually "tyrosinase positive" or "partial" albinos.

Unfortunately, there are many health and temperament issues with these Dobes, including sensitivity to sunlight, vision and skin problems, fear aggression. To find out more about albino dobes, visit whitedobes.com.
